Director of Finance

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for providing strategic financial leadership for the organization by working with the Executive Director, Executive Team, Board of Directors, and the Finance Committee to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Oversee the financial affairs of the organization, including review of the monthly financial reports and statements, analyses of business operations, budgets, annual audit, investments, payroll, and insurance.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
Responsible for the establishment, monitoring, and review of the organization’s system of internal control which provides safeguards, segregation of incompatible duties and oversight of the Organization’s assets.
Responsible for the establishment and coordination of the organization’s operating and capital budgets and communication of the results to the Finance Committee and the Board.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Education/Training

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of accounting practices, techniques, and principles.
CPA License required
Strong emphasis on financial, operating and information management, including the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
Must be proficient with Windows based computer applications; ability to learn new systems, including MIP Fund Accounting software.
