Director of Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Development works closely with Executive Director, Board of Directors, and volunteers in a non-profit organization for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Planning, coordinating and implementing fundraising activities for Presbyterian Ear Institute.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Plans and implements an annual giving program. Provides direction and support to volunteers on special events. Creates and oversees the production of donor letters, brochures, publications, news releases, media pieces and other fundraising materials.

Other Information/Requirements: 

A Bachelor’s degree is required. CFRE accreditation is preferred. Five years of progressively responsible fundraising in all facets of resource development: direct mail; grant writing; special events and major gifts. Ability to understand a financial statement. Proven track record of fundraising success, including personal solicitation of major gifts.
