Direct Care Staff - ABQ/Caregiver

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Assists adults with special needs with personal care, household duties, health care regimens, and documentation. Supports the development and implementation of plans and directives, accompanies individuals on community activities, communicates directly with consumers, and promotes client independence in home and community activities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills necessary for essential job functions. Must handle behavior and medical issues, present a friendly image to the public, and have experience with adults with disabilities. Required to complete and maintain specific certifications from our training department.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Must have reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, & pre-employment drug screen. Must be able to lift 50 lbs as well as support 70-100 lbs. occasionally. Adelante is a drug free workplace. Salary Range: 
$16 per hour plus differential pay for weekend shifts and night shifts.
