Development Associate

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Associate will work as part of a close-knit team with primary responsibility for implementation of the organization’s development plan to ensure financial resources for the organization.
Responsibilities:
Steward, foster, and expand upon current sponsor/partner relationships.
Identify and recruit individual and corporate donors.
Implement donor retention/appreciation strategies.
Oversee and execute special events.
Plan and implement fundraising activities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This position may require travel across the state of New Mexico and regular attendance at meetings/events in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. You must be able to provide your own transportation.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This is a great opportunity for an individual with some prior development experience who wants to help Friends serve more children and youth in care. We encourage those with diverse work or life experience to apply. Desired qualifications:
-Minimum 2-3 years of fundraising, event management, and/or marketing experience.
-Connections to New Mexico, particularly its communities, businesses, and organizations.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Salary Range: 
This is a contract position. Compensation range is $800-1,200 monthly.
