Cruelty Case Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Answering APNM’s statewide animal cruelty hotline; assisting the public with reporting and follow-up on animal cruelty cases to responsible agencies; educating the public on state and local laws; ensuring effective intervention, prosecution, and/or adjudication of animal cruelty cases; identifying missing or insufficient infrastructure and processes that would ensure animal cruelty cases are taken seriously; providing information and resources about a wide range of animal-related issues.

Qualified applicants MUST have: interest in/experience w/animal protection issues; excellent written/verbal communication skills & time management; detail-oriented & thorough, problem-solver, self-motivated; can work w/diverse constituency; highly computer literate; work well under pressure. SHOULD have experience/training in customer service; familiar w/NM & its communities. Preferred candidates: know local/state animal laws.
