Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Career Pathways Intern (CPI) Manager oversees Explora’s internship programs for teens and adolescents considered upperclassmen in high school and into early college. Responsible for supervising and mentoring 30+ CPIs, including youth are paid by Explora, youth who are placed at Explora through other internship/workforce development programs, youth completing an internship for academic credit, and X Studio teens placed in externships at community partner sites.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Ensures interns fulfill program goals, creating opportunities to develop school, workforce, leadership, and life skills. In collaboration with the Manager of Visitor Experience, trains interns to facilitate high-quality floor experiences, maintain exhibit activities and environments that support Explora’s pedagogy, and have superb customer service; responsible for recruitment, evaluation, reporting, and developing relationships with community partners to advance the program.
