Assistant Director of Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant Director will focus on the Annual Fund giving program, working to foster and nurture long-term, meaningful relationships between the Academy and its donor constituencies. Duties will include developing relationships with corporations to raise sponsorships for various fundraising activities such as the annual golf tournament.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Through planning, designing, and implementing various fundraising activities and programs, the Assistant Director will generate financial and community support from Academy parents and alums who have deep roots in the local corporate community. This self-motivated, solution-oriented individual will collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including all members of the advancement team, the school’s faculty and staff, parents, alumni, parents of alumni, and grandparents.

Other Information/Requirements: 

As a member of the school’s advancement team, this individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment and be willing to assume new tasks and responsibilities as needed. The Academy’s advancement staff is responsible for raising awareness about the importance of philanthropy to the school, and as a result increasing donations that critically impact the school’s operating budget.
