Health Insurance Reform WEBINAR

Registration is closed for this event

Is it getting more difficult to provide affordable health care benefits to your employees?  Has it been necessary to ask employees to pay increased costs for health insurance every year?  If so, your organization is facing what the majority of small employers all around New Mexico face every year their health insurance comes up for renewal.

If you are a small employer - nonprofit or small business - and have fewer than 25 employees, then you need to know how the healthcare reform act will affect your organization. This webinar will inform and educate small employers on information about federal health care reforms (The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act - ACA) and how to take advantage of immediate benefits.

In 2014 all provisions of federal health care reforms kick in for each state.  You will learn how you as a nonprofit or small business can influence how the State of New Mexico designs a Health Insurance Exchange so that you as a small employer can shop for affordable health insurance and reduce administrative costs to your organization.

Learning Objectives
- Understand the Accountable Care Act (ACA) and health care reform as it relates to small employers and activities within the State of New Mexico
- Know the key benefits of the Health Insurance Exchange for small employers
- Know how to stay informed of health care reform as the State implementation occurs
