The budget sets the priorities for a nonprofit's activities. The budget must reflect the nonprofit's mission, vision and tax exempt purpose. This session will give you the tools you need to begin preparing an effective budget along with methods of monitoring the budget.

DeAnn Eaton and Leslie Oakes
DeAnn Eaton, Chief Financial Officer of La Vida Llena, Albuquerque's most distinctive retirement community and a nonprofit organization. DeAnn was an adjunct professor for the College of Santa Fe for 15 years, she taught both in the undergraduate program as well as for the MBA program. She began teaching for Lewis University in the fall of 2010. She is the volunteer Treasurer of the ARCA Foundation Board. She received a BA from Bethany College, Lindsborg, KS; an MBA from the College of Santa Fe, Albuquerque, NM, and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New Mexico and is registered as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. DeAnn brings a wealth of expertise as a CFO, trainer and nonprofit professional.
