Networking to Grow Your Nonprofit

Registration is closed for this event

While you may not have a need to grow your programs and services, expanding your connections will strengthen your organization.  Networking as a tool can increase your volunteer, donor and client base and increase visibility of you and your work in the community.

This workshop will teach you how to use networking as a strategic tool to expand your community connections.  Define your message to improve your first impression and make a favorable impression with potential donors, supporters, and funders.  Learn which groups and organizations are available, and how to choose among them to make the right connections.

Presented by Stacy Sacco, WESST.  Stacy is the Rio Rancho Regional Manager for WESST, the third largest economic development agency statewide, where he helps start and grow small businesses.  For over ten years, Stacy has also taught courses in sales, marketing and strategic planning in both UNM Anderson School of Management's Entrepreneurial Studies Program and Webster University's MBA program.  Stacy also publishes the NM Directory of Professional Associations and other free resource lists at www.nmnetlinks.com and he co-founded and hosts the annual NM MARCOM Mixer that brings together over 350 representatives from the 15+ marketing-related associations statewide.  Stacy's nonprofit background includes founding the Orange County Chapter of the American Marketing Association, co-founding three Toastmasters International clubs, serving on several community boards and leading several successful fundraising campaigns.  Stacy has been recognized the New Mexico Business Weekly the past three years as one of one hundred Power Brokers in New Mexico.
