Prospect Research 101

This training will walk through the process of prospect research, while highlighting myths about research and what ethical standards must be applied.

Participants will learn:
- What strategies and resources to use in researching individuals
- What kind of information to search for and how to assemble a research profile
- What free information sources are available on the internet

Participants will have an opportunity to create a research profile on an individual, so please bring a laptop if you are able.

Presented by Jessica Haynie, Founder and Principal Consultant at Three Stones Consulting, focusing on fundraising and philanthropic strategy.  She is also the Program Associate for Positive Ventures.  Over the last seven years, Jessica's career has taken her down the path of working with nonprofits, primarily in fundraising, but also with small businesses and entrepreneurs as she earned her MBA from Whitman School of Management at Syracruse University, where she focused her studies on social entrepreneurship and nonprofit management.
