Transformational Philanthropy: Entrepreneurs and Nonprofits

Registration is closed for this event

Lisa Dietlin will share her insights of the philanthropic world – both past, present and future – and how individuals can affect change.  With more than 6,500 nonprofit organizations in New Mexico, a lot of us are being asked on a weekly, if not daily basis, to become involved, donate money and give of our time.

Using practical tips geared toward individuals and nonprofit leaders, Lisa will share how to develop a meaningful and effective working relationship in order to solve the challenges facing us in the 21st century.  For the individual, she will provide information, suggestions, and strategies for working with nonprofit organizations and becoming successful in the philanthropic world achieving the transformation sought.  For the nonprofit leader, staff, or volunteer, Ms. Dietlin will provide insights into the decision making patterns, expectations, and philanthropic behaviors of individuals, especially entrepreneurs, as well as strategies for success.

Following the workshop, Lisa will be available to sign copies of her new book, Transformational Philanthropy: Entrepreneurs and Nonprofits.  The book expands upon the ideas and practical tips that will be shared in the workshop, including a series of interviews with 23 well known entrepreneurs including: Alfredo J. Molina, the country’s top retail jeweler from Scottsdale; John Rogers, founder of Ariel Capital from Chicago; and Deborah Gibson, the singer/songwriter/actress from Los Angeles.  Stedman Graham, a well-known entrepreneur and author, praised the book: “Having worked in the nonprofit area for a large part of my life, I have found that it takes years to learn what Lisa has given us in this work of art. She covers every angle and provides us with a road map for success.”  Advanced copies of the book are available for purchase through Amazon.com, Borders.com and Ms. Dietlin’s website (www.lmdietlin.com).
