IRS 990 2010

Registration is closed for this event

Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax, is the IRS' primary tool for gathering information about tax-exempt organizations, for educating organizations about tax law requirements, and for promoting compliance with tax law.  The 2009 Form 990, schedules and instructions have been revised to modify and clarify certain reporting requirements.

The IRS 990 has become more complex.  In this session you will develop a more thorough understanding of the requirements and how to prepare for filing the IRS Form 990.  The IRS is now requesting information about policies (conflict of interest, whistleblower, document retention and destruction, etc.).  Learn about changes to the required schedules.
You will learn about critical IRS Form 990 issues that could trigger an IRS audit and/or could cause an organization to lose its tax exempt status.
