Evaluation Models

Registration is closed for this event

Evaluation is one of the cornerstones of the improvement process.  The need to evaluate programs or services is beyond just satisfying the needs of the funding agent.  It is part of developing a true quality management process to enhance services provided to clients or customers.

This session is designed to assist nonprofits in understanding the different types of models available to assist them in this effort.  This is not an attempt to provide a total management process, but provide means of reviewing programs that are part of the organization.  Looking at various models, the strengths, weaknesses and possible modifications.

The session looks at the types of evaluation and the models best utilized to visualize and gather the information in a systematic process. Some of the models to be examined include:  Quantitative vs Qualitative Evaluation, Daniel Stufflebeam's CIPP Model, Scriven's Discrepancy models, Goal free, Tolithic, Stakes Countenance Model and Tyler's Model.  These plus others will be explored and compared and contrasted based upon the type of evaluation information needed.

Participants will have an opportunity to select a model and adapt it to their specific programmtic need.
