Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

CPA needed for local nonprofit: Project PeacePal, a local nonprofit, is looking for a bookkeeper/accountant. Our total revenue for 2013 was under $100,000.
Responsibilities of this position include: Work with staff to understand the bookkeeping and accounting needs of this small nonprofit, commit 2-3 hours per month to compiling financial statements and making changes if needed, work with the treasurer of the Board to produce annual financial reports and prepare and file other reports as needed.
Desired qualifications include: Current and valid CPA license with the State of New Mexico, Bachelors or Master's degree in accounting, experience in preparing and reviewing compiled financial statements, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and experience with nonprofit accounting procedures.
