Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Affiliate Cars for Homes(TM) Volunteer Coordinator
The goal for this volunteer position is to increase awareness of car donations as a way for the public and volunteers of the Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity to provide financial support for the affiliate.
Skills:Strong communications skills; ability to organize and/or participate in public events; computer skills, including website and social media content.
Duties: Monitor the affiliate website, affiliate written communications and emails, as well as affiliate events, to make sure that car donations are always included as an option for affiliate supporters and donors.
Assist and enlist all staff, board, and volunteers to maximize the use of Cars for Homes(TM) marketing tools.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity is proud to have built 170 homes and served more than 400 Albuquerque residents. Our goal is to eliminate poverty housing in Albuquerque by building simple, decent, affordable houses. In the greater ABQ metro area over 15,000 documented families live below the poverty level, most in substandard housing.
