Description:

Proposal & Grant Writing is a senior-level, advanced writing course in which UNM students become familiar with the funding environment, distinguish among different types of grants, identify potential funders, plan and write a grant, and understand the submission and review process. The course, which runs from mid-January to mid-May, includes a service-learning component in which students are required to identify a community partner in need of proposal or grant writing services and work with that client throughout the semester to determine the client's funding needs and produce a functional proposal or grant application. If your organization is interested, please contact Dr. Monica Kowal at [email protected]. NOTE: This course requires that a representative from the community organization be dedicated to working with the students throughout the semester. We look forward to hearing from you!
