Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

The Children's Collection (TCC) is looking for people who want to help build a library and museum in Albuquerque that has no precedent: it's not FOR kids, it's BY kids.

TCC will be a physical and digital repository for children’s remarkable contributions to the arts, science, humanities, medicine, and the environment. We need an active, working board of directors with passion, knowledge, and experience to build the project from the ground up. This means a willingness to participate in--and possible lead--meetings and activities throughout the year. In other words, a willingness to roll up your sleeves and participate in all board activities, including fundraising.

Skills we're looking for: Experience in fundraising, marketing, networking, accounting, financial reporting, communications, and library, archival, and/or museum experience.

To learn more about TCC see our website: www.thechildrenscollection.org.

Children from all over the world have an opportunity for their works to be stored, preserved, displayed, and shared both in person and online. They will be inspired by each other, learn from each other, and explore the lives and cultures of other children from around the world. They will even learn to lead, as programming—such as a film festival—can be developed by the children themselves.
