Main Areas of Responsibility: 

As our Volunteer Manager, you will oversee the growth, development, and management of our Volunteer Service Department. An integral part of our operations at all locations, they manage Animal Humane’s pool of 300+ active volunteers with the assistance from the Volunteer Coordinator.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

You will be:
• Volunteer cultivation, onboarding, training, management, and stewardship
• Assisting with daily coordination of Animal Humane’s current volunteers for specifically assigned volunteer areas.
• Planning/coordinating volunteer recognition events.
• Leading our volunteer involvement at Doggie Dash & Dawdle.
• Leading our monthly Welcome Program (volunteer orientation), helping with event set up, organization and flow, and assisting with assignment of volunteer to particular areas.

Other Information/Requirements: 

If would rock if you:
• Had a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration, or related field.
• Love meeting and working with new people, as well as being comfortable interacting and sharing information with the public.
• Were an experienced team builder.
• Can use sound marketing, public relations and recruiting skills in promoting our programs and services.
