Staff Attorney (Hybrid)

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Pegasus is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the rights of New Mexico's children. We are seeking a full-time staff attorney to join our legal team from Jan 2021 - June 2021 with a likely possibility of a permanent position after June. This position will represent children/youth in child law matters, and kin relations seeking guardianship for the children in their care. This position is a hybrid position, meaning that some parts of work can be done remotely.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Must be licensed in New Mexico or eligible for a limited practice license. Must have demonstrated interest in working on behalf of children and youth, excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Pay for this position begins at $50,000-$55,000 annually depending on experience.
