Main Areas of Responsibility:
Casa de Salud is a small medical clinic that requires one individual to be able to code, bill, submit, and reconcile claims to all Medicaid MCOs and in the near future, to NMMIP. A successful applicant will also be required to work closely with other administrative staff handling other aspects of patient self-pay billing, AR and AP, and to work with Clinicians to ensure encounter documentation is appropriate and complete.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Applicant will be required to:
- Research all relevant information to verify correct assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Have knowledge of Medicaid guidelines.
- Enter clinical charges and payment information into billing systems.
- Work with Clinicians to ensure encounter documentation meets billing requirements.
- Reconcile payments into EMR.
- Communicate with Accounting to ensure accurate AR and AP.
- Work with all Medicaid MCOs to add, maintain, and remove credentialed Clinicians.
