Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director assumes executive responsibility for leading the Institute, directing all aspects of operations, and overseeing internal systems and processes, allowing the Institute to achieve business results that consistently, over time, contribute to the operating reserve and ensure the programmatic impact and financial health of the organization.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The ED ensures well planned implementation and growth of the Institute in accordance with its mission, vision, plans, and policies adopted by the Board of Directors; provides leadership to the staff; and acts as the face of the organization in the community. The role requires a close working relationship with the sister organization, the Santa Fe Farmers Market.
The ED reports to and partners with the Board of Directors.

Other Information/Requirements: 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
At least five years nonprofit leadership experience required. Though nonprofit experience is preferred, equivalent experience in related fields may be substituted.
