Executive Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

In the capacity of the executive director, implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization and enable the Board to fulfill its governance function and to give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization’s philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Board Administration and Support
• Program, Product and Service Delivery
• Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management
• Human Resource Management
• Employee recruitment and Retention
• Community and Public Relations
• Advocacy
• Fundraising (nonprofit-specific)

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum: Masters or Bachelors degree and experience in relevant field (early childhood ed, human services, business/public admin, ect.) Min 3 yr; working with community based organizations (grant writing, fund raising, advocacy, and/or program dev.), supervising others in the workplace, working with diverse populations. Strong communication, conflict resolution and decision making skills.
Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish. Experience with; homeless populations, early childhood ed, advocacy.
