Driver/In-Kind Donation Assistant

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

We are looking for a compassionate and trauma-informed driver to join our Donation Center Team. This person will drive our box truck to carry out all donation pickups and housing set-ups. Other job duties include moving various household items throughout the donation bay and storage units.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Driver & In-kind Donation Assistant will work with another staff driver, key team members, and volunteers to successfully move housing and refugee clients into apartments/houses located across Albuquerque, NM in addition to helping keep track of current stock and process incoming donations. Typical work hours are 8am to 2pm; 3 days a week (18 hours a week). Occasional weekends and evenings may be required.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications: H.S. diploma or equivalent, NM driver's license with a clean driving record, ability to drive and maintain a midsize box truck with 1 year of driving experience, ability to lift heavy furniture, good decision-making skills, good oral and written communication skills in English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be able to keep to a schedule, navigate around the city using addresses and cross-streets, and follow all traffic laws and safety standards.
