The CHW/Promotora will represent Project HOPE’s initiative to raise awareness about what factors are associated with developing chronic disease and how to prevent them. The CHW/Promotora will assist with the implementation of the HABITS for Life initiative throughout New Mexico. The position includes conducting health screenings, interactive health fairs, and health education and disease management workshops.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, dependable, have excellent communication and training skills; and demonstrate a commitment to the program’s aim to diminish health disparities and improve health. This position may involve frequent travel within the state. The employee must be able to carry boxes of materials weighing 20-30 lbs and be able to work standing for 4-6 hours. Need to be able to model healthy habits and participate in short exercise demonstrations
