Community Educator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Delivers violence prevention projeect targeting youth grades K-5th throughout Taos County through school-based youth trainings, community groups, workshops,and other strategies on domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Community Educator will also support outreach activities as primary staff for Community health and services fair, and information booths.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum qualifications for presenters are a high school diploma/GED with two years experience with domestic violence field. Excellent knowledge of the issue of domestic violence and exemplary presentations skills as determined by observation and supervision. Forty hours of relevant training initially may include NMCADV, CSVANW, VOCA, or VAWA training, and ongoing relevant training.
