Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The American Red Cross in New Mexico is currently accepting applications for AmeriCorps National Service! Members of the National Preparedness & Response Corps will complete projects that enhance organizational service delivery and expand community resources while developing their professional skill base. Service locations: Albuquerque and surrounding areas.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Complete the Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training, Introduction to Disaster Services, National shelter systems training and Mass Care overview.
• Successfully recruit corporate partners and train their employee volunteers to be response ready, and support the team throughout the year so they feel connected to the Red Cross and their skills remain sharp even if they are not called to respond.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• At least 18 years of age by the start of the program.
• A U.S. Citizen, U.S. National or lawful permanent resident alien of the U.S.
• Minimum, high school diploma or GED. College degree highly desired.
• Current valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
